Tanzanite
Tanzanite is the most highly prized variety of the mineral zoisite and can be either purple or blue in colour.
Tanzanite occurs only in the Tanzanian hills and is a relatively recent discovery having been found in 1967.
It is a very rare stone and it is not known how long deposits will be available.
