Natural Origins & Characteristics of Keshi Pearls
Keshi pearls are celebrated for their natural origins and distinctive character. Formed organically as a by-product of the pearl cultivation process, Keshi pearls develop without a central nucleus, allowing them to grow entirely from nacre. This gives them an exceptional lustre and depth, often surpassing that of traditional cultured pearls. Each Keshi pearl is uniquely shaped, with soft, organic forms that reflect its natural creation, making every piece of jewellery one of a kind.
Size Range
Keshi pearls range from 6mm to 10mm, with some reaching up to 12mm. Their size varies due to their natural, non-nucleated formation.
Cultivation Process
Keshi pearls are formed as a by-product of the pearl cultivation process, so they take 1 to 2 years to form.

In–House Pearl Stringing
At Cellini, we expertly string and restring pearls in-house, using traditional techniques and the finest materials. Pearls are strung on silk with hand-tied knots between each pearl if desired for a classic, lasting drape. For the best care of your jewellery, we recommend having it restrung every 1–2 years if worn frequently, or every 3–5 years if worn occasionally.
