The History of Tourmaline
Tourmaline’s history is shaped by its extraordinary colour variety, which fascinated traders and gem collectors alike. Introduced to Europe in the 18th century, it quickly became popular for its expressive range. Each piece reflects individuality through natural colour differences.

Natural Origins & Characteristics
Tourmaline grows in pegmatite rocks, where complex chemical conditions allow for an exceptional range of colours. Some crystals even display multiple colours within a single stone. Brazil, Afghanistan, and parts of Africa are well known for high-quality tourmaline.
Tourmaline by Cellini
Tourmaline is chosen for its wide range of colours and individual character. Each stone is selected with a specific design in mind, allowing its natural look to guide the final piece. This results in jewellery that feels personal and expressive.
Care & Craftsmanship
Tourmaline measures 7–7.5 on the Mohs scale and wears well with mindful care. It should be kept away from sharp knocks and chemicals. Cellini designs support the stone while showcasing its natural colour.
