The History of Peridot
Peridot was mined on a volcanic island in the Red Sea as early as 1500 BC and was favoured by ancient Egyptian royalty. Its fresh green colour has long been linked to light and renewal. The stone’s volcanic origins add a unique layer to its story.

Natural Origins & Characteristics
Peridot is created deep in the earth’s mantle and brought to the surface through volcanic activity. Its distinctive olive-green colour is inherent to the mineral rather than caused by trace elements. Major sources include China, the United States, Pakistan, and Myanmar.

Peridot by Cellini
Cellini peridot is selected for its fresh citrusy green colour and clarity. We favour stones that feel bright and well balanced, setting them into designs that keep the look clean and light. The focus is always on natural colour and proportion.

Care & Craftsmanship
Peridot measures 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale and can be worn regularly with care. Sudden temperature changes and hard knocks should be avoided. Our settings are designed to shield the stone while keeping the look light.
